WHOA!

WHOA!

Hidden smiles on masked faces.

No friendly hugs or handshakes.

Economic instability.

Social unrest.

Looming danger.

Stuck in a ditch of confusion and anger some folks cry “hoax,” as they vent their frustrations about this historic pandemic. Others believe the experts, practice heightened hygiene habits, and hope for the status quo.

But who are the chosen ones? Where are the trailblazers––the righteous ones? Christ followers of all races, ages, and economic brackets are waiting for the call. They rely on the teachings of God’s word for their daily comfort and guidance. They believe. They pray. They endure. They engage. They prepare.

“This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my teaching in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Jeremiah 31:33-34.

Friends, circumstances have pulled back on the proverbial reins; we have awkwardly been “whoaed” for a while. We must face the reality that discipline is not pleasant. In fact, it is often painful. However, God promises a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who are wise to prepare for the future. (Hebrews 12:11-12)
