Washing Me Clean
Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.
It had been raining and gloomy for days. The girls and I played with every doll, conquered many board games and watched Doc McStuffins episodes too many times. We needed a break!
One particular morning I looked out the window and saw a glimpse of the beautiful sun shining. I yelled with excitement for the girls to come outside and play because the sun was shining! It was a mad dash to the door and the girls ran outside full of joy that they were free from being inside.
The first thing they did was jump into mud puddles that had formed throughout our backyard. It was humorous to see them splashing in the mud, rubbing their arms and legs in the mud and sitting right in the middle of the puddles.
Their laughter and squeals melted my heart.
Once the playing was finished and they were ready to be cleaned off they were covered from head to toe in mud. Their little white eyeballs were the only color left on their bodies. I reached for the hose and washed them clean. The mud that covered their bodies was completely gone.
This is exactly what Christ does for us when we come to Him with our sins.
He can cleanse us from all our filth and make us pure.
Thank You Jesus for cleansing us from all our unrighteousness and washing away our sins.
