Trusting God Through Worship

Trusting God Through Worship

For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound Your thoughts.

Psalm 92:4

I love singing worship music while in the car listening to the local Christian radio station or at church during worship service. I just love to sing!

The most powerful moments of worship happen when life situations — job uncertainty, health scare, loss of a loved one, or any burden that life throws at us — collides with the truth of who God is.

One of my favorite songs on my playlist is by Rhett Walker: Good to Me.

{Chorus} So I will look this storm in the eye I won’t fear for You’re on my side

My first hope, my last word
Now and forever
Let it rain, let it pour, I will sing
All You’ve ever been is good to me

When I reflect on the truth that God is with me in the storm, and I praise Him in the midst of it, He is glorified and I find peace.

Psalm 147:1 encourages us to, “Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!”

As I choose to trust God, I can have this assurance:

1) God is working in the midst of the storm.
2) God can hear my cry.
3) God is a faithful protector

Psalm 145:13b says, “The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.” That truth allows me to trust Him through my worship.
