Speak with Boldness

healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ

Acts 4:10 NLT

Recently, I heard the good news that my body has… healed.

This was an answered prayer! Yay! Praise God!

And I was restored or approved to return to a regular pattern of life again.

As I went through this difficult time of illness, this message of healing I longed to hear.

Now, after seeing God’s movement in healing, I am inspired to live in a new way.

In Scripture, this response happened too…

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people, are we being questioned today because we’ve done a good deed for a crippled man? Do you want to know how he was healed? Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:8-12 NLT).

After being lame for more than forty years, a man was miraculously healed by the powerful name of Jesus, but the rulers and elders didn’t want anyone to know about it.

There was a choice to return to the old way.

Do you know what Peter and John’s response was? “We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20 NLT).

And they even prayed for more boldness to speak… they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31 NLT).

Healing by the powerful name of Jesus brought a Holy Spirit inspired message.

It is the same today!

I am to share it with boldness!

Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me… telling me that my experience of seeing You and the healing that I have experienced by the powerful name of Jesus is a Holy Spirit inspired message that I am to speak. Help me speak it with boldness in the powerful name of Jesus I pray, amen.
