I have learned why my soul blesses the Lord.

David understood this too and says…

To You, Lord, I lift up my soul. My God, in You I trust… Make me know Your ways, Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day… He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way… Guard my soul and save me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You. (Psalm 25:1-2,4-5,9,20 NASB20)

On my own, I have no idea how to guard my soul.

But I know the One who does… The Lord, My God.

In the psalm above, notice how God does it… by teaching me His paths of truth.

God’s words of truth teach me the way to salvation, because in these words, I meet Jesus.

For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls (1 Peter 2:25 NASB20).

Jesus is called The Guardian of my soul.

And this is how Jesus guards my soul…

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 CSB).

Jesus unleashes all His super-natural power to guard my soul, which is my heart and mind, with a spiritual peace that is beyond understanding called… the peace of God!

This peace of God within my soul that Jesus gives is new. It is the reason my soul sings like never before … bless the Lord and worship His Holy name

Giving Jesus all the honor and glory for His incredible gift!

Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me… leading me the right way in the truth of Your Word telling me how my soul can be saved by trusting in faith in Jesus. Jesus is the One who truly knows how to guard my soul. Thank you for leading me in the Word of Truth Your right way. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
