Pray the Word

Pray the Word

Pray in the Spirit at all times

Ephesians 6:18 NLT

When you don’t know what to pray… because there are no words…  what do you do?

I have learned…

Use God’s message to help you. That will be like a sword that God’s Spirit puts in your hand (Ephesians 6:17b Easy).

Pray the Word.

Why?

Truth, righteousness, peace, faith and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare (Ephesians 6:17 MSG).

There is more to the Word than you may realize.

God’s Word has… power!

Do you know what it means to pray in the Spirit?

It means…

Pray about everything as God’s Spirit helps you to pray (Ephesians 6:18 Easy).

Another way to say it is…

We speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths (1 Corinthians 2:13 NLT).

So even if I have no idea what to say… God’s Spirit will help me pray and lead me in His Word.

This is what to say…

Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out (Ephesians 6:18 MSG).

Pray for other Christians… brothers and sisters in Jesus… to continue in their faith.

Do you pray for others?

Your prayers are… unlimited!

Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me… guiding me by Your Spirit. When I don’t know what to say, You remind me of Your Word. Leading me to pray for my fellow brothers and sisters. I ask that you strengthen them today, encouraging them in their faith in You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
