It is About Time!
They will be filled with joy and gladness.

When the wonderful aroma of cookies in the air fills the house, you know it is about time! They are almost ready! That good smell is your clue that you are about to enjoy that treat!
Life with Jesus is meant to be positive, sort of like that pleasant smell of cookies! It is a good thing!
This is the Lord’s plan for His people…
Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness. I, yes I, am the one who comforts you… My name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And I have put my words in your mouth and hidden you safely in my hand. I stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth. I am the one who says to Israel, ‘You are my people!’ (Isaiah 51:11-12, 15-16 NLT).
With the Lord, there are joyous moments ahead and the sounds of celebration and singing fills the air! This is what the Lord wants for me and for you!
But there are times that I am not feeling very joyous. What do I do then? Scripture encourages me to pray and ask the Lord to make changes in my life. Asking Him to put His words in my mouth helping me to make requests, so that I will feel joy again. Asking the Lord to make sorrow and sighing flee, giving me joy and gladness. Being specific.
Then, the Lord will move into action and make things happen.
I have learned this is the way it works with the Lord and His children. This is a result of a relationship with the Lord – one that interacts with Him and results in a difference.
Trust Him and the change He brings.
Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me whispering, “Child, I want you to experience My joy! Turn to Me, asking for change when you feel oppression, sadness and mourning. Ask for My help.” Lord, help me remember to seek You in those moments, freeing me to feel your joy and gladness again! In Jesus name I pray, amen.
