Who’s the Girl Passing Out Papers?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
Galatians 5:22
Four times a year, I wake up to find a card on my kitchen or bathroom counter.
My husband celebrates and honors the first day he noticed me, the day we first spoke, our first date, and our wedding.
He hasn’t missed one in the 31 years since he asked someone, “Who’s the little bitty girl passing out papers?” I served as a greeter at our singles Bible study.
I’m blessed to have a husband who stays present in the good times and bad.
Friends, that’s a picture of our Jesus, the ultimate Bridegroom who never breaks His vows.
Even if you are single or carry scars from broken vows, you can know the love and faithfulness of the Savior. He sings over you and knows every hair on your head.
He never forgets the day He first noticed you — because He knew you before you were born and has pursued you ever since.
Think back to a moment when you felt God pursuing you. Maybe that’s today.
Lord, thank you for noticing me before I ever knew to look for You. When I feel invisible or forgotten, remind me that You always watch out for me. Thank you for your everlasting love.
