Our Awesome God
Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Do you ever read a verse or passage that just leaves you in awe of the God we serve?
Our passage today did that for me.
In these two verses alone, I see so many attributes of God. Unique. Forgiving. Merciful. Generous. Just. Patient. Loving. Steady. Compassionate. Mighty.
I have a Father who pardons my sinful acts, thoughts, and motives. And not only that, he treads them underfoot and throws them into the depths of the sea. Gone.
Why? Because He delights in steadfast love for me. He is a father whose anger never lasts forever and always gives way to compassion for me.
And do you know the most awesome part? He does the same things for you, too! God sent His only son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins. Jesus died on the cross so that you and I could be washed clean of every sin. Pretty amazing, right?
