Hay for Sale

The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 145:13, 17, 18 NIV

While driving down a country road I noticed a large sign: Hay for Sale. Then very close to that first sign I noticed another smaller one: Sold Out. I could imagine someone whose animals depended on hay for sustenance feeling such excitement at seeing the first sign. I could also imagine their disappointment at the sight of the second one.

Good news for us, God offers us what we need and he never sells out. He has enough for all who call on him.

Our need for spiritual sustenance. he totally can provide. His promises are trustworthy. How many in this world make big promises but fail to live up to their hype? We have no fear of that happening when we open ourselves up to God. He has the capacity to hear us all, answer us all, and follow through with us all.

First, he provided our redemption from sin through Jesus’s death on the cross. He states in his Word “whoever” believes in him can have Salvation.

God promises a personal relationship with him. He always has time for us. He never sells out or runs out of time for us.

He gives us what we need for spiritual growth through his Word, prayer, other believers, and his church. God blesses us with each and calls us to take advantage of each as well.

We can trust in the faithfulness of the Lord our God. We can trust in his promises. We can trust also in his love.

True Love for Sale. God paid the price for it and it will never be sold out for those who believe and put their trust in him.

God, your abundant love never runs out. You are faithful and near to us when we call on you. We give you praise and glory and honor. Amen
