All in Direction

No Shortcuts

There is no shortcut for finding God's Will. We often find ourselves with decisions to make. And we want to make the right choice, right? Of course! Moments like these are when we seek our Father in prayer for answers. Many times we have an agenda or at least a preference one way or another. I am ever aware of my fleshly desires, but I truly believe God's way is best. His way is what I am after.

In the Hand of the LORD

Human hearts, like natural rivers, tend to wander and become set in destructive paths. We formulate our own plans, pursue control of circumstances, and God sometimes allows us to go our own way. Other times He redirects the wellsprings of human hearts, specifically those in authority, for the good of His people.

Mold Me and Make Me

Have you ever watched a potter work, as Jeremiah did in today's passage? It is amazing to see something lovely begin to take shape from a lump of clay. In this passage God was showing the prophet that the nation of Israel-as well as every person from the beginning of time-was to be shaped by His hand. We are all lumps of human clay waiting for the touch of the master Potter.

Pay Attention!

Recently on a short drive between adjoining towns in Texas, I became lost. The crazy thing was I had the directions in my hand. How did I get lost with directions in my hand?
