Wandering Sheep

Wandering Sheep

My sheep recognize my voice.

John 10:27 MSG

Like a cute little fuzzy sheep… I can wander too.

I struggle with distraction… Do you?

There are so many things pulling for my attention.

I listen to a friend… but a distraction pulls my attention away… so I stop listening.

My mind wanders.

Distraction destroys my good intent of being a friend.

What pulls my mind back into focus?

Jesus… His Voice.

Jesus says…

My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief. No one could ever get them away from him. I and the Father are one heart and mind (John 10:27-30 MSG).

It is all about whose you are... I am one of Jesus’ sheep.

Jesus has more power and ability to draw me back than… anything.

Jesus is greater than… any distraction.

Jesus’ Words enter my mind… Love one another as I have loved you (John 15:12 CSB).

I just think His name… Jesus… and the distraction ends… my attention is back.

Jesus can do that.

He will do it for you, too.

Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me… leading me in how to love another. Helping me by pulling my attention back to where it needs to be. You are the One doing it, not me. I am one of Your sheep, and I respond to Your Voice. Help me listen to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
