Ice Cream
The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.
2 Corinthians 10:18 NLT
If I want the approval of the young, the old and almost everyone in between, I offer them ice cream!
I mean… who doesn’t like ice cream?
Think about this Scripture…
When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them (2 Corinthians 10:18 NLT).
What does it take for the Lord to commend me?
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6 CSB).
I concluded… my faith is like ice cream for God!
My faith is what God likes! Since my faith is what He desires from me, when I seek Him in faith, I am rewarded.
In Scripture, many times it is said that Abraham believed God is declared righteous or right with God because of his faith. (Genesis 15:6, Romans 4:3, Galatians 3:6, James 2:23).
Abraham began the nation of faith and is the first person that God declared right because of faith. Then, from Abraham, was born a kingdom of people of God who are declared right with God because of their faith!
Now because of faith, I am part of that kingdom, too, and so are you!
Father, in the quiet of my heart You speak to me… whispering “Child, you have been declared right with Me because of your faith!” Lord, thank You for helping me have faith in Jesus and making me part of Your kingdom! I am so grateful! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
