A closer inspection turns to introspection, making me wonder if somehow I am exchanging my Glory, my precious Savior, for idols of my own making or my own imagination. Do I rely on people in my life to do for me what only God can do?

Recently, I was walking behind a grandmother holding her granddaughter’s toddler- hand.
The hands intertwined were a precious picture… two extreme ages, with the aged lending strength to stabilize the young.
The visual made me realize… aging is not what I expected.
My youthful father transformed rugged acreage into a small working ranch. The five springs on the property helped him envision the land’s potential.
My family drove by our vacant lot about once a week for at least a year. The only thing that interrupted our view of weeds was a capped metal pipe about six inches in diameter. It was the water well for our soon-to-be built home.
I looked out the back door window enjoying the country view of pine trees.
Something blurred my vision… I could see fingerprints.
I had just cleaned the glass… but there they were… again.
I recognized the hand pattern.
Hmmm… I knew who the fingerprints were from.
God has fingerprints…
